There’s an “open letter” to the secretary-general of the Portuguese Socialist Party, signed by party members, proposing semi-open primaries for leader election, i.e., allowing voters in general to participate in the election of the party leader (provided they sign a declaration as party sympathizers, hence the “semi-“).
