   Ah, good ol’ grassroots politics. As an Alabama resident I find this embarrassing and very disturbing. Not everyone in the American south is conservative … I think I’ll move to Portugal.

   A bit of trivia on election night: with 97% of the precincts reporting, it appears that Dale Peterson is out of the race. AND with 99% of precincts reporting, Bradley Byrne is leading the pack for Republican nomination for Governor. Maybe I don’t need to move after all … ah, the charms of local politics.
